Riverhead High School student, Drew Achilich, has created this site to help the flood victims on Horton Avenue.  Back in March of 2010, two major storms hit the east end of Long Island, inundating Riverhead's Horton Avenue and the surrounding area with devastating flooding.  The day after the storm, Drew went swimming down the street.  A week later, he got stuck in his friend's car on the way to school traveling on Horton Ave.  It was then that he got a sense of the despair the families living on Horton Avenue were facing.  So Drew decided to do something about it.

Drew created and has been selling T-shirts with a blue "Horton Ave" street sign on the front.  The proceeds of the T-Shirt sales will be given to the First Baptist Church of Riverhead in order to be distributed to the flood victims.  To date, T-shirt sales have raised more than $3,000 for the fund.

Drew has been selling the T-shirts at Riverhead High School and at the Bean and Bagel Cafe in Calverton where he works on weekends.  He is also going to local Riverhead businesses and asking them to display and sell the T-shirts.  By creating this site, he is hoping to reach a greater audience.  Help Drew help the flood victims by purchasing a T-shirt to show your support.
